Spring
Green hills, wild flowers and empty lanes. Hotels and restaurants open through April and May, prices are lower and walking weather is perfect. The sea is cool until late May.
يونيو وسبتمبر هما الأفضل — وهذا هو السبب، مع درجات الحرارة الشهرية والأمطار والازدحام وما يكون مفتوحًا.
June and September. Average highs of about 26 °C, a warm sea, open beach clubs and boats to Delos — with fewer crowds and lower prices than July and August. May and early October are cheaper still, if you accept some closures. From November to March the island is quiet and many venues are shut.

Climate averages for Mykonos, July 2008–May 2026: National Observatory of Athens monthly bulletins via meteo.gr. Event dates: see events. Mykonos stays mild in winter because of the sea, but it feels cooler in the wind.
Green hills, wild flowers and empty lanes. Hotels and restaurants open through April and May, prices are lower and walking weather is perfect. The sea is cool until late May.
Everything open, every boat running, every bed booked. July and August bring the meltemi — a dry north wind that cools the air but whips up the north coast and can cancel boats.
September keeps summer's warmth with a warmer sea and thinner crowds. By mid-October beach clubs and many hotels close, and boat schedules shrink.
A quiet fishing town with a few year-round tavernas. Good for walking and photography, not for beaches — and check boats and Delos opening before you go.
Prices follow the crowds. A mid-range double costs about €120–280 a night in 2026, with the top of that range — and above — in late July and August (Visit Mykonos estimates, Oct 2026). Beach-club minimum spends, ferry fares and car hire all peak at the same time.
June and September offer the same sea and nearly all the same venues for noticeably less, and Delos is cooler and quieter. If you can only travel in August, book early, stay a little outside Chora, and plan the famous sights for early morning.
Warm sea, open clubs, thinner queues at sunset — the sweet spot for price and weather.
Maximum energy and maximum spend — book rooms and beach clubs early.
June or September. Average highs are about 26 °C, the sea is warm, beach clubs and Delos boats are running, and crowds and prices are below the July–August peak (climate: National Observatory of Athens via meteo.gr). May and early October are cheaper, with some venues still closed.
July and August bring the meltemi, a strong, dry north wind that can blow for days. It keeps temperatures pleasant but makes north-facing beaches rough and can cancel small boats. Choose the sheltered south-coast beaches on windy days and plan Delos with a spare day.
Yes, if you want a quiet Cycladic town rather than a beach holiday. Average highs are around 15–16 °C, many hotels, bars and beach clubs close, ferries thin out and Delos may be shut. Chora's lanes, the windmills and Ano Mera are at their most local.
