Who writes Visit Mykonos

Chora, Delos and the south beaches — the ground we cover

Visit Mykonos is an independent guide to the island, run by a small editorial team that writes and checks every page. Our home is visitmykonos.city, and you can reach us at hello@visitmykonos.city. We write in the order a traveller needs: how to arrive, where to stay, what to see, how to move around, and what it costs. The guide covers Chora, Little Venice, the south beaches, Ano Mera and the boat to Delos.

We are not affiliated with the Municipality of Mykonos, the airport, KTEL Mykonos, the Hellenic Ministry of Culture, or any hotel, beach club or tour operator. When we name an official body, we are quoting its published information, not speaking for it. The guide is written by hand in all fourteen of its languages; the English page is the reference version if a translated sentence looks unclear.

Method

How we verify facts

Every price, hour and phone number should come from an official source, with the check date shown beside it. Examples are jmk-airport.gr for the airport, mykonosbus.com for KTEL buses, odysseus.culture.gr for Delos hours and the €20 ticket, and cyclades.culture.gov.gr for the €5 Archaeological Museum ticket. Current facts on this site were checked in October 2026.

When an official page does not publish a figure, such as a taxi tariff or the exact bus fare, we say so and write "check locally" instead of guessing. We reserve estimates for broad cost ranges and label them as rough. Hours and fares change often, so confirm anything you plan to rely on, especially in winter, when Delos and many seasonal businesses change their schedules.

Independence

Ads, affiliates and what we will not do

The site may carry display ads and affiliate links, in marked slots. They pay for hosting and research and do not change what we write. We do not sell hotel or restaurant placement, we do not publish paid advertorials, and we do not rank businesses for payment. A sponsor cannot buy a mention, a rating or a removal.

We will not copy text from Wikipedia, TripAdvisor or other guides; we write from primary sources and reported experience. We also will not promise what we cannot verify: if the guide says Delos usually closes from December to March, it tells you to check odysseus.culture.gr. If you find a mistake, tell us at hello@visitmykonos.city, ideally with a source link, and see the contact page. Privacy details are in the privacy policy.

Common questions

About this site

Is Visit Mykonos the official tourism site?

No. Visit Mykonos is an independent guide and is not affiliated with the Municipality of Mykonos, the airport, KTEL or any other official body. We quote official sources and name them, such as jmk-airport.gr and odysseus.culture.gr, but we do not speak for them. For official notices, use their own websites.

How often are prices updated?

We review key figures in a monthly maintenance pass and when official sources change; each page shows its update date. Current figures were checked in October 2026. Prices on a rough-cost basis are labelled as estimates. Always confirm hours and fares locally before you travel, especially in winter.

How do I report a mistake?

Email hello@visitmykonos.city with the page, the wrong detail and, if you can, a link to an official source. We check corrections against primary sources before changing the page. Reports about fares, opening hours or phone numbers are the most useful, since those change most often. There is no phone line.
