Skandinavian
Three bars, a courtyard and a dance floor — loud, crowded and fun from midnight.
Gde se dešava, u koliko sati počinje i kako se vratiti kući.
The beach clubs at Paradise and Super Paradise run a parallel daytime party from mid-afternoon — many visitors do the beach party, sleep, and come out again at midnight. See beach clubs for the daytime side.
Balcony bars over the water, all facing west. Galleraki is the first on the waterfront and busy all day; Kastro plays classical music at sunset; Caprice is louder and younger; Katerina's i Scarpa are long-running alternatives. Arrive by 19:00 in August for a front-row seat.
From Matoyianni to Tria Pigadia, small bars spill into the alleys after dinner. Skandinavian — three bars around an open-air courtyard, plus a disco — is a Chora classic for a reason.
Jackie O' on the Old Port waterfront is famous for drag shows and sunset; 180° Sunset Bar sits in a stone fort above the harbour with views over town — book ahead for sunset.

Lola, Jackie O' and a lane of bars that made Mykonos a gay-travel pioneer.
Our guide
The open-air club on the cliff above Paradise, with international DJs on big nights. Check the programme; big nights are ticketed.
Venues from greeka.com, theculturetrip.com and the venues' own channels. Bars change hands and line-ups change every summer — check before you go (October 2026).
Nightlife is where a Mykonos budget breaks. Cocktails in Little Venice and the clubs cost several times a taverna glass of wine, and big-name club nights charge entry. We do not publish drink prices because they change by venue and month — read the menu before the first round, and ask about minimum spends before you sit at a table.
Day-to-night party on Paradise Beach — many visitors start here before Cavo Paradiso.
Pool, deck and dinner on Paraga — a softer entry to the south-coast scene.
Watch the sunset from the free ridge at Kato Mili, then go down to Little Venice when the first rush has left.
Souvlaki counters in Chora stay open late — the cheapest hot meal on the island.
Ask for an itemised receipt; pay by card. Call the Tourist Police (1571) if you are overcharged.
The full scene runs from late June to early September, peaking in August. May and late September are calmer, with most bars open and the big clubs on fewer nights. From November to April, most of Chora's bars and all of the beach clubs are closed; the island becomes a quiet fishing town with a handful of year-round tavernas.

In three places: Little Venice for sunset drinks, the lanes of Chora and the Old Port for bars from midnight, and the south coast — Paradise and Super Paradise — for beach parties by day and Cavo Paradiso's open-air club until sunrise. Chora's bars are all walkable from each other.
Bars in Chora fill from about 23:30, and clubs get going after 01:00. On big nights Cavo Paradiso runs until sunrise. Beach-club parties start much earlier, from mid-afternoon. Each venue sets its own hours, which change by season, so check its channels before going.
Generally yes. The real risks are practical: overcharging, drinks left unattended, steep lanes after drinking and scooter accidents. Walk in Chora, book taxis for longer trips, keep valuables close and check every bill. Emergency number 112; Tourist Police 1571.
