The bus stop is outside Arrivals. Buses run to the Fabrika station on the south edge of Chora, a few minutes' walk from the windmills and the old town. From Fabrika, other KTEL lines continue to Ornos, Platis Gialos and Paradise.
Many visitors stay north of the airport at Agios Stefanos or Tourlos. A taxi or pre-booked transfer is often faster than the bus to Fabrika plus a second connection — agree the fare or fixed price before you leave.
Taxis wait outside Arrivals. In July and August, with several flights landing together, the queue can take longer than the ride.
The night tariff applies from 00:00 to 05:00. The bus may have stopped — pre-book if you land late.
A pre-booked driver waits with your name and a fixed price. Villas and many hotels arrange this for you.
Mykonos Airport handled 1.58 million passengers in 2025 on a single 1,903 m runway. Aegean Airlines i Sky Express fly from Athens all year (about 40 minutes). From spring to autumn, dozens of seasonal routes connect the island directly with Europe and the Middle East — among them London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Zurich, Geneva, Amsterdam, Brussels, Madrid, Barcelona, Istanbul, Belgrade, Bucharest, Tel Aviv, Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Riyadh (airline schedules via Wikipedia, checked Oct 2026).
Flights from outside the Schengen area clear passport control at JMK. Since 10 April 2026, non-EU visitors register fingerprints and a photo in the EU Entry/Exit System (EES) on their first entry (Hellenic Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
With no direct flight, connect in Athens: domestic flights are frequent in summer. Keep at least two hours between flights, and more if you change terminals or check bags through separately.
Most ferries dock at the New Port at Tourlos, about 2.5 km north of Chora. The Sea Bus crosses to the Old Port roughly every half hour in season; KTEL buses run to the Old Port station; taxis queue at the terminal. On busy ferry days, a hotel pick-up saves a long wait. See which port is which.

Blue Star and Seajets use the New Port — not the airport bus route. Plan a taxi or Sea Bus.
About 3.5 km. The KTEL bus takes around 10 minutes to the Fabrika station on the edge of Chora, and a taxi takes about the same once you are in the car. In summer, allow extra time for the taxi queue at Arrivals (jmk-airport.gr, checked Oct 2026).
Taxis are metered, and the airport does not publish a fixed fare to Chora. Confirm the price with the driver before you leave, and expect a higher night tariff from 00:00 to 05:00. For late arrivals or large groups, a pre-booked transfer with a fixed price is the calmer option.
Yes. KTEL Mykonos runs buses from the stop outside Arrivals to the Fabrika station in Chora, for about €2. The timetable is seasonal — frequent in summer, sparse in winter — so check mykonosbus.com before you fly. Buy tickets online, at the Fabrika kiosk or from the driver.
